Watch for our "eBadge" Testers

This isn't a tip as much as an FYI!

I hope you've figured out by now that IMTS lives on the leading edge. We are always looking for ways to bring the new and the future to the event. You'll see a lot of that at the show next month!

Many people nowadays use their smart phones to download boarding passes for flights. Some hotels are also using that technology. This year IMTS is TESTING an eBadge with a small group at attendees. Here's the deal:

This select group of attendees will have their "badge" loaded onto their smart phones. They will use this to enter the show, as well as when you ask to scan their badge. We hope it's painless and easy for everybody, but you know technology. If you ask to scan a badge and they offer their iPhone or Android, please go along with it. We want to see how easy this is to use and, frankly, if it works seamlessly.

If the eBadge does not work, they will have a regular paper badge, but we ask you use that as a back-up. Remember, this is just a test and nothing has been decided about future badges. We'll see how things go for our intrepid testers first!
