Be Aggressive in your preshow efforts

Why do people attend IMTS? There are several reasons:

1. To see and learn what's NEW. This is the big one and you should emphasize this in your pre show communications, as well as in your booth. What will you be showing, demonstrating, or introducing at IMTS that's NEW? Aggressively promote that in your messaging and signage.

2. To meet with current suppliers. Obviously, you should aggressively invite your current customers to visit you. Why? To reinforce their intelligent decision to work with you. To show them what's new. To show them what ELSE you have. To introduce them to your CEO. To invite them to bring a peer to meet you. How many reasons do you need?

3. To meet potential new suppliers. Attendees will take advantage of IMTS to compare their current suppliers with who else is out there. They want to confirm them made the right decision or find out if there's a better option. List your past customers and current prospects and aggressively invite them to stop by.

Notice a recurring theme? Be AGGRESSIVE in your preshow efforts. Take advantage of the reasons people attend to convince them to visit YOU.
