Question: Why do I need to send in the Machinery Target Plan Questionnaire?

The importance of the Machinery Target Plan Questionnaire cannot be minimized. It is the major information document that GES Exposition and AMT use to assign the target in/out dates for each hall and each specific exhibitor. If we don't know how many trucks you're routing to McCormick Place and the type and quantity of equipment and display material on each, we have to make some educated guesses. This can result in possible additional costs and delays to move your freight into your booth so please help us out by returning the questionnaire on time. We realize that some machines forecasted for exhibition don't make it, but some information is better than none.

The general contractor handles over 800 trucks per day into the five halls so any shipment consolidations are also greatly appreciated. The Target Questionnaire also helps us determine how many and what size forklifts and cranes are necessary for each hall. We actually import lift equipment into the Chicago area from as far away as Houston, Texas so if we don't need to rent as much equipment it helps control drayage costs.

The bottom line is to safely move all your freight on-target reducing the final costs to you, the exhibitors of IMTS 2008.
