Frequently Asked Questions

TARGET MOVE-IN AND MOVE-OUT DATES AND TIMES

Question: Who is responsible for assigning the target in/out dates and times?

The IMTS 2008 General Contractor will make the target move-in and move-out date and time slot assignments for machinery and display material shipments. AMT reviews all assignments with the General Contractor prior to their mailing to each exhibitor which is scheduled for mid-Apirl 2008.

These dates and times are developed by reviewing the Machinery Target Plan Questionnaires, past hall history and special requests from exhibitors. From there, its pretty much a load each hall from the front and side perimeters working toward the freight door access areas. In some halls, some freight access doors are also located at the side of the hall.

Since only about 30% of our exhibitors let the General Contractor know what they're bringing, it's no wonder why many requests and changes are granted after the assignments are sent out. Please be sure to return the Machinery Target Plan Questionnaire in a timely manner to assure the General Contractor has accurate information to schedule from.

On time and on target shipments help make the entire move-in/out process as smooth as can be expected at any trade show the size of IMTS. A typical day at IMTS will result in over 800 trucks being processed so timing and patience cannot be over emphasized. This will potentially save your company extra time and labor expense and assure a safe and organized event.
