GOALS

What is your UNAMBIGUOUS definition of success for this year's show?

My 15-year-old daughter, Kelly, is the #2 player on her high school varisiy golf team. Yesterday her swing coach, Todd, asked what she expected to shoot in today's 9-hole match. Her response? "I want to break 50." He said, "So 49 is okay?" She said, "No." He said, "How about 48?" Again she said, "No."

Todd kept on going until Kelly said, "I want to shoot 44." Todd then said, "Now that's a goal. Saying you want to shoot below 50 is ambiguous. It doesn't mean anything. Always set a goal that is specific and measurable."
