YOUR IMTS.COM SHOWROOM - WHERE VISITORS COME TO LEARN MORE ABOUT YOU AT IMTS

One benefit of purchasing a booth at IMTS is that you have a complimentary showroom on the IMTS.com website. The Showroom is a landing point where attendees come to learn more about your company after they search the site. One of the most common searches used on IMTS.com is the search by product category. Attendees will often view the showrooms of companies in product categories that they are researching to learn more about them. Also, your company is exposed to many people that have no intention of visiting IMTS, but come across you via search engine results or links from other sites.

There are several ways (in addition to the traditional ways like phone, fax, etc.) that attendees can choose to contact you from the showroom:

Click through to your website - Attendees and prospects may chose to hit the link within your showroom to learn more about your offerings. Many savvy exhibitors set up a link to a special IMTS landing page, informing them about what will be on display. Thinking now and then taking action to make sure your site is geared properly to welcome this active audience can help you achieve your show goals.

E-mail - Perhaps the attendee or prospect has an urgent need that they want to discuss with you NOW. They can send you an e-mail directly from the site. All IMTS E-mails will come through with a subject line of "E-mail from your IMTS showroom." If you haven't already, take a look at your Showroom live on the site and verify that you are listing a good address. You might even want to send the address a test message to confirm that the messages are coming through.

Add your company to myMap - As attendees are building their list of companies they want to visit at the show, they are given the option of sharing their information with the exhibitors. When that happens, an e-mail will be sent to you. This is a company that is highly interested in contacting you. You should consider offering a personal invitation to them in advance of the show to come and talk to you at the show.

You have the ability to view the Statistics and E-mail 24/7 through your IMTS Showroom. Look under "Stats and Specific Activity" from the main page of your E-Kit. You can view your showroom stats and the emails that IMTS visitors are sending to your company. You can also View attendees that have added your company to myMap, their personal agenda for the show. If you haven't already done so but are interested in purchasing an expanded showroom online, contact Bill Caldwell for more details (bcaldwell@gardnerweb.com).

SAVE MONEY: ORDER YOUR EXHIBITOR BADGES NOW

In order to make sure all of the people from your company who are working in your booth have early/late access to the show floor, you need to pre-order Exhibitor (Booth Personnel) badges. From now until July 18, 2008, you can order badges for your staff FREE of charge. From July 19 through August 15, 2008, each Exhibitor badge is $10.00. After August 15, 2008 Exhibitor badges will be $20.00.

If you provide company name badge's for your booth staff to wear in the booth, you can still use that badge as your official IMTS 2008 Exhibitor badge. All you have to do is order special small square hologram stickers with a distinctive show decal. Then your company badge replaces the traditional IMTS paper Exhibitor badge. More information and ordering procedures can be found on the Exhibitor Badge order form (July 18, 2008 deadline date).

Login to your E-Kit and place your order.

FAQ OF THE DAY: HOW CAN OUR STAFF AVOID TAXI LINES AND SAVE MONEY GETTING TO AND FROM MCCORMICK PLACE?

Did you know you don't have to stand in long lines at the end of the day trying to get a cab back to the hotel? Here's all the scoop on quick ways to and from the show:

Hotel Shuttle Bus Service
Complimentary Shuttle Bus Service is provided free of charge during show days to and from the official show hotels and the North, South, West and Lakeside Center Buildings. Click here for the bus schedule as of 5/20/2008. For the exact schedule and boarding locations please refer to the IMTS shuttle information sign in your hotel lobby.

Metra Train Service
The METRA Train Commuter Railroad provides direct service within ten minutes to and from Downtown Chicago. Many exhibitors know that if they see a long line for cabs, they can jump on the METRA, head downtown and find a cab more quickly once they disembark. View the METRA Schedule.

McCormick Place Parking and Directions
There are times you have to drive to McCormick. If so, it can seem complicated knowing where the most convenient places to park are at the show. Click Here for directions and a map to McCormick Place.
