AMT - The Association For Manufacturing Technology welcomes you to IMTS 2008. Here, you will have the opportunity to gather news of the latest advancements in products and services along with gaining insights into the future of the machine tool industry.

Our pledge is to make your job as easy as possible during IMTS 2008. We have designed the Media Center at McCormick Place with your needs in mind.

ELIGIBILITY

The Media Center is open and available to members of the working press as defined by the National Press Club of Washington D.C

MEDIA CENTER LOCATION

Location: Room N426 above the Grand Concourse. (It is accessible from the Grand Concourse via escalator or elevator.)

MEDIA CENTER HOURS

Dates: Monday, September 8 - Saturday, September 13
Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Each morning a daily event schedule (including press conferences) will be posted in the Media Center & on the kiosks.

REGISTRATION

Press Badge Registration is open. There is no charge for MEDIA registration. Working Media must meet the definition as published by the National Press Club of Washington, D.C.

Registered by August 15, 2008, you will receive your badges in the mail.
Register after August 15, 2008 pick-up your badge onsite at the IMTS Media Center- Room N426.

MEDIA CENTER EQUIPMENT

Computer workstations will be available, as will wire drops for laptop plug-ins and wireless internet service. The Media Center will also be fully equipped with printers, fax, copier and telephones for your convenience.

PRESS KITS

As part of our efforts to move toward "green," we are once again encouraging exhibitors and editors to make full use of the Virtual Media Center (live late March) on IMTS.com by posting and accessing press releases and photos. Paper press kits will not be accepted in the Media Center and no shipping service is available. We will accept and make available CD/DVD and memory stick press kits. We also will maintain a list of exhibitors who have printed press kits available in their booths.

CONFERENCE ROOM

You are welcome to use the Media Center conference room during IMTS to conduct meetings and interviews. Please sign up with a Media Center representative to reserve the conference room during the show.

REFRESHMENTS

A complimentary lunch will be served each day from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.; coffee, soft drinks and water will be available throughout the day.
