The Importance of IMTS
This year, registration at the biennial International Manufacturing Technology Show passed the six-figure mark to reach 100,200—an increase of more than 21 percent over IMTS two years ago. That increase shaped the very experience of this show. Within McCormick Place this year, aisles were full, machine demos drew thick crowds and the Grand Concourse was coursing. If you weren’t there, I wish you could have seen it.

Hurco's New Products and New Image a Hit at IMTS
Hurco (Nasdaq:HURC) sold a record number of machines at the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) in Chicago last week and the response to the new machine design and new products exceeded expectations, according to Hurco Executive Vice President Greg Volovic.

A new standard for student-oriented events has just been set: The NIMS Student Skills Center at the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) was a hugely successful event with more than 9,000 attendees visiting the 27 student-focused exhibitors throughout IMTS week.

Your Metalworking TV Guide
The much vaunted IMTS 2012 show is complete. By any and all accounts it was a resounding success. I’ve attended this exhibition, uninterrupted, since 1980 and consider the 2012 edition to be one for the books.
