Advanced Manufacturing Center takes Flight in the New West Building

Anchored by global aerospace leader, Boeing, the Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC) at IMTS 2008 will offer visitors a look at latest in manufacturing technology and a look at the revolutionary 787 Dreamliner interior display.

Along with Boeing, the collaborative display is being presented by University of Sheffield's internationally-acclaimed Advanced Manufacturing Research Center (AMRC); North America's premier metalworking technology magazine, Modern Machine Shop (MMS) and IMTS 2008.

Advanced Manufacturing Center visitors will experience:

• The Boeing 787 Dreamliner interior display
• Parts displays and process presentations by Boeing's advanced research and development unit, Phantom Works
• Ten "disruptive" technologies from innovative manufacturing suppliers and researchers
• Media displays from leading industry publications Modern Machine Shop, Automotive Design & Production; MoldMaking Technology, Production Machining, Time Compression Technologies, and High Performance Composites
• Display and presentation from the University of Sheffield's AMRC
