Connectivity & Interoperability - "Are you Connected?"
The Emerging Technology Center (ETC) will be showcasing MTConnect this year, a new communication protocol standard for passing data between devices, equipment, and higher level applications. Learn more at our Daily Presentations:

1. Video Presentation
   This brief video presentation will inform you about:
   • How the need for standards in data was identified
   • The beginning of MTConnect research
   • What MTConnect is intended to do
   • The partnership between academia and manufacturing to develop a workable standard
     
     
2. MTConnect Live Demonstration
   
   • Our host will present the details of MTConnect at :00 and :30 each hour (10:00 am - 5:30 pm)
   • The demonstration features communication from several unrelated machine tools here on the IMTS show floor
     
     
3. MTConnect Demonstration Kiosk
   • Use this kiosk for a self-guided MTConnect demonstration
   • Use the icons to display data from machines at IMTS
   • Switch from machine to machine via the touch screen
     
     
4. MTConnect Implementation Center
   
   • Meet the developers of MTConnect
   • Discuss implantation of MTConnect at your facility
   • Have your MTConnect questions answered
   • Learn about future plans for MTConnect

University & Research Laboratory Exhibits
