$35,000 Giveaway in Celebration of Sumitomo's 35th Anniversary
Over the course of IMTS, Sumitomo Electric Carbide will give away approximately $35,000 in tooling to celebrate its physical entry into the U.S. marketplace 35 years ago.
Sumitomo's growth throughout North America is reflected in the company’s latest cutting-tool technologies, which are on display at IMTS. Customers visiting the booth can take advantage of the “35th Anniversary Product Promotion,” which offers deep discounts on kits comprised of its most popular items. New product presentations will be followed by a drawing, with the winner receiving a $1,000 tooling certificate. Spinning a Wheel of Fortune will provide the chance to upgrade the prize to $3,500.
Sumitomo Tool Engineering Center
Sumitomo products are thoroughly supported by our state-of-the-art Tool Engineering Center.
We’re invested in making our customers as successful and profitable as possible. Our tech center was recently renovated and expanded to include the latest technology and equipment. To ensure that distributors and customers are aware of the current turning, drilling and milling solutions, multiple levels of technical training classes and presentations are held here each month. For hands-on technical training, attendees are offered live machining demonstrations in the Tech Center. Sumitomo has invested in testing and customized equipment to analyze and display a range of processes.
Since 1979, Sumitomo Electric Carbide, Inc., our North American division, has been dedicated to developing and supporting the most advanced cutting tool solutions. Our turning systems, drilling systems, milling systems and inserts, including PCBN and PCD coated versions, are meticulously manufactured using Sumitomo's unique and proven methods and materials. Each of these solutions is thoroughly supported by our vast global network, including multiple North American sales offices and our state-of-the-art Tool Engineering Center (TEC).
