Brief History

In 1948, Liberty Reid and his wife Gloria founded Reid Tool Supply. They began selling hard-to-get manufacturing products and providing immediate delivery from the basement of their home. From the beginning, developing strong customer relationships by offering the right parts with on-time delivery has been the cornerstone of the business.

The first Reid Tool Supply catalog was published in 1949. Mailing by hand, Liberty would address envelopes in the evening while other family members would stuff, seal, sort and bundle them. The booklet contained 24 products and its four by nine inch format easily fit into a tool chest.

Today, Reid Supply continues to grow and expand.

Coated & Security Products

The global market leading producer of high quality self-adhesive tear tape and a growing supplier of labels and products and technologies for brand protection, document authentication, personal identification and track and trace. Customers in over 100 countries are served from facilities operating in six countries. Also includes plastic profile extrusion activities in The Netherlands.

Filter Products

This division is the only global independent cigarette filter supplier. The 12 worldwide locations, including a UK-based research facility and three regional development centres provide a flexible infrastructure strategically positioned to serve the cigarette industry. The division supplies a wide range of value adding high quality innovative filters from monoacetate to multi-segment speciality filters with sophisticated adsorbent materials.
