Laser Marking Systems
Schmidt manufactures laser marking systems for permanent identification and product traceability. The laser systems can function as stand alone offline marking systems that are mounted in a safety interlocked Class I certified enclosures or they can be integrated into your production line to mark on the fly or as a fixed stop and go operation.
Schmidt laser systems are commonly used for laser part marking information such as 2d data matrix, 1d and 2d barcodes, material flow, graphics, logos, date codes, serial numbers and more. Schmidt laser systems are also used in non-marking applications such as cutting, drilling, and patterning for processing of materials such as thin sheets, ceramics and silicon.
Schmidt fiber, CO2, and diode laser systems include infrared, green, and UV lasers in a wide range of wattages and can be custom designed to fit your specific part sizes, marking field requirements, enclosure style needs, or any other system aspect specific to your application.
Dot Peen Pin Marking
Schmidt Styliner® dot peen pin marking systems offer fully programmable permanent part marking. Marking data can be input manually, bar code scanned, or downloaded from your mainframe computer or network system.
Schmidt's Styliner® series of dot peen marking systems are available as column mounted benchtop systems, portable hand held systems, or as separate marking heads to be integrated into your production line.
All of Schmidt's Styliner® pin marking systems have standard and custom options. Our machines can be penumtaic or electric in operation, be equipped with rotary fixtures for marking round parts, adjustable or fixed size nameplate clamps, integrated shuttle feed systems, part feeding systems, sound enclosures for noise reduction, moble carts for ease around the shop floor, and integrated systems with 2d part marking, reading and verifying.
With our in-house design, engineering and manufacturing, we have the capability to manufacture custom marking systems with accessories and tooling to solve your marking application needs.
Conventional Marking Machines
Schmidt offers pneumatic Impact marking presses, ranging from 5 to 10 tons of pressure, for indenting numbers and letters into the surface of parts with a powerful single stroke. Impact presses are typically used for stamping plates or solid parts. Schmidt also manufactures a variety of squeeze action press marking machines that offer a gentler marking action when closer control of stamping pressure is desired.
Schmidt manufactures pneumatic, hydraulic, and rotary roll marking machines to mark round, cylindrical, and flat parts. Schmidt also manufactures a variety of tooling and fixturing to accommodate the roll marking machines.
Schmidt Marking Systems has been manufacturing steel marking tools since 1895. We make steel type and hand stamps, steel stamps and marking dies, type holders and die holders, as well as, numbering heads.
