Seco Tools to Highlight Industry Sector Solutions at IMTS 2010

Come see what all the buzz is about in Seco Tools booth (#W-1564) at the International Machine Technology Show being held in Chicago from September 13 – 18 at the McCormick Place. Visitors will be privy to Seco’s methodology in developing innovative solutions to manufacture challenging components from the aerospace, motorized vehicle, medical and energy markets. Seco personnel will help navigate attendees through the processes and tooling requirements for complex component creation in the various industries – starting with design through shop floor production.

PROCESSES
New products being launched at the show will demonstrate Seco’s continued focus on providing productivity-increasing, cost-effective solutions to its customers. New Duratomic turning grades capable of machining hardened materials, and thereby providing alternatives to ceramic inserts, will be on display as will Seco’s upgraded, complete line of Turbo mills now featuring a coating for enhanced tool life and increased speeds.

PRODUCTS
Additionally, in line with its booth focus on industry sectors, Seco’s new solutions for specific applications will be announced. These include a new mini-solid carbide drill for precise, Swiss machining-type applications, end mills for use in composite machining, and a button cutter designed to assist with turbine blade machining, to name a few.

PRODUCTIVITY
Cutting tools are just part of the story in Seco’s booth where a larger perspective is provided through the company’s various Business Solutions offering.
