Lockheed will receive an initial $842.9 million, according to the Missile Defense Agency. Used in the Iran war, THAAD interceptors can neutralize ballistic missiles outside the Earth’s atmosphere and can cost more than $12 million each to produce. L3Harris Expands Missile Motor Production With New Arkansas Plants: L3Harris Technologies is expanding its missile propulsion manufacturing capacity with two new facilities in Arkansas to support growing production of the U.S. Army’s PAC-3 missile propulsion systems. The expansion will accelerate the production of propulsion components for the PAC-3 Missile Segment Enhancement interceptor. The two facilities include a roughly 75,000-square-foot building for casting, curing, and final assembly, and a nearly 70,000-square-foot case preparation facility. TTM Technologies Opens Ultra-HDI Manufacturing Facility in Syracuse: TTM Technologies Inc., a leading U.S. manufacturer of advanced electronics and interconnect solutions for aerospace, defense, and high-technology markets, celebrated the grand opening of its new Ultra-High-Density Interconnect (Ultra-HDI) printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing facility in Syracuse, New York. The new facility, spanning 215,000 square feet on TTM's existing Syracuse campus, is among the first in the nation to be purpose-built for Ultra-HDI PCB and advanced packaging production, serving aerospace and defense programs. The investment will create up to 400 new engineering and manufacturing jobs. Gulf Coast Tactical Expands New Iberia Operations To Support Next-Generation Maritime Defense: Gulf Coast Tactical LLC will invest $6.1 million in Iberia Parish, Louisiana, to expand production of unmanned surface vehicles, patrol craft, and other maritime platforms used in security operations. The project is expected to create 65 new jobs. The investment will help the company meet growing domestic and international demand for defense and security while advancing autonomous vessel technology. Longtime Fort Worth Aerospace and Defense Company Expanding to New Location: InterConnect Wiring, an aerospace defense manufacturer, has leased 136,000 square feet in Fort Worth, Texas, to meet demand driven by increased defense spending and domestic aerospace manufacturing. InterConnect manufactures electrical wiring harnesses for military and aerospace applications, cockpit panels, circuit breaker panels, fiber-optic cable assemblies, ground support equipment, and sheet metal assemblies for blue-chip companies such as Lockheed Martin, Bell, Boeing, L3Harris, and Northrop Grumman. Gov. Whitmer Announces 32 New Jobs, More Than $16.8 million in Investment From Fibrosan Inc: Fibrosan Inc. plans to construct a new fiberglass manufacturing facility in Cassopolis, Cass County, Michigan, which is expected to generate more than $16.8 million in capital investment and create 32 new jobs. This new manufacturing investment will support its continued growth in the North American recreational vehicle market and strengthen its ability to serve customers more efficiently and competitively.Yancey Engineered Solutions To Build $5.7 Million Georgia Plant: Yancey Engineered Solutions will spend $5.7 million to build a new factory in Cordele, Georgia. The factory, which will produce power generation packaging systems, is expected to employ 300 people once fully operational. LS Electric Expanding Power Equipment Production Base Sixfold: LS Electric held a groundbreaking ceremony for an expansion of its power solutions manufacturing facility in Cedar City, Utah. With this expansion, LS Electric Utah's manufacturing facility will experience a sixfold increase, from approximately 142,000 to nearly 854,000 square feet. A total of 250 billion won will be invested in the project, and the new plant is scheduled to begin operations in early 2027. Putnam County, West Virginia, Industrial Building Repurposed as Manufacturing Facility: Sandvik and Alpha Metallurgical Resources are investing $25 million to open a new manufacturing facility at the Waterways Industrial Park near Poca, West Virginia, generating more than 100 new jobs. The joint venture, called Centauri Ground Support, will make rock bolts and resin capsules used in underground mining. Nation's Largest Tanker Truck Manufacturer Expands in Virginia: Amthor, the nation's largest tanker truck manufacturer, officially opened its second manufacturing facility in Gretna, Virginia. The new 33,000-square-foot building will serve as Amthor's mounting facility, where custom-built tanks are installed on truck chassis before being delivered to customers. The company is actively hiring and expects the facility to create between 50 and 75 new positions.
