The program includes three on-site, half-day workshops exclusively designed to educate and inspire job shops with the latest intel on technologies, business practices, and opportunities transforming today and tomorrow. An evening reception on Tuesday, September 10 will provide a unique social opportunity to see old friends, make new friends, and continue to build business relationships and share ideas with the industry. The workshops at ELEVATE: Job Shops focus on addressing the challenges and changes that affect shops every day and finding technologies that increase productivity, efficiency, and enhance bottom lines. They include:  Make Your Shop a Top Shop Powered by Modern Machine Shop Monday, September 9, 1-4 p.m. This workshop will share the results of the annual Top Shops Benchmarking survey from Gardner Business Media (booth #236600), a highly respected, comprehensive survey that tracks job shop performance and compares industry peers with unbiased, actionable data. Industry experts and current and past Top Shop award winners will give advice on what makes a shop rise to the top.  The Shop of Our Future Powered by AMT Tuesday, September 10, 1-4 p.m. Manufacturing continues to change and transform at a rapid pace, so this workshop will delve into the adaptations needed to prepare for the future in areas such as automation and digital technologies. Job shop owners, contract manufacturers, and industry peers will exchange their thoughts on tackling the technologies, strategies, and tools needed to transform their shop and stay ahead of the market. In this concentrated half-day seminar, learn how machining facilities are applying 3D printers for tooling and for runs of parts that do not make sense on traditional machining centers.
