Toyota Could Add Thousands of San Antonio Jobs With New $2B Plant: Toyota plans to add a new vehicle assembly line and manufacturing facility as part of a new $2 billion expansion of its plant on the South Side of San Antonio, Texas, according to documents posted on the Texas Comptroller's website. The project is expected to bring 2,000 additional jobs to the area by 2030. Construction is expected to begin this year and be completed by 2030. Boeing Investing $1B To Upgrade Kansas Aerospace Operations: As part of the Boeing Backs America initiative, Boeing is investing $1 billion over the next three years in Wichita, Kansas, to upgrade facilities, expand employee training, and boost production. WHI Global Expands Aerobond Composites Manufacturing Operations in Enfield, Connecticut: WHI Global opened a new $4 million Aerobond Composites manufacturing facility in Enfield, Connecticut. The 78,600-square-foot facility features advanced manufacturing technologies, including a new 10-foot-diameter autoclave, modernized legacy autoclaves, six laser ply projection cells, enhanced climate-controlled clean rooms, and upgraded quality assurance and cutting equipment. Quantum Space To Build New Production Facility in Tulsa: Quantum Space, a company that builds advanced maneuverable spacecraft for defense and commercial space operations, will establish a new manufacturing facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The facility will serve as the company’s primary site for large propulsion tank manufacturing and precision spacecraft parts production, initially creating up to 50 high-skill jobs, with expected expansion as production scales. E-ONE’s $23.5M Expansion Expected To Increase Aerial Production: E-ONE, Inc., a fire equipment manufacturer, broke ground on a new 80,000-square-foot expansion that will increase the company’s aerial production capacity by approximately 35 percent and help reduce lead times for E-ONE’s products. The project is currently expected to add 100 new jobs in Ocala, Florida, adding to E-ONE’s current workforce of 1,134 employees. New 100,000-Square-Foot Manufacturing Facility in West Virginia: Global engineering group Sandvik and Alpha Metallurgical Resources (AMR) agreed to establish a manufacturing presence in West Virginia through a $25 million investment that is expected to create at least 120 new jobs. Production is planned at a new 100,000-square-foot facility, primarily focused on rock bolt and resin capsule manufacturing, but with the potential to expand the product offering over time. Azuria Water Solutions Breaks Ground on New Manufacturing Facility in Batesville: On Wednesday, May 13, Azuria Water Solutions broke ground on a new 72,000-square-foot Fusible PVC Pipe manufacturing facility in Batesville, Mississippi. The Mississippi Development Authority said the company is investing $80 million in the project with plans to create 50 jobs at the new facility. Agilent Technologies Opens New Chicopee Manufacturing Facility: Agilent Technologies, which provides advanced instruments, software, services, and consumables for laboratories, expanded operations to a new location in Chicopee, Massachusetts. The expansion includes plans to add 40 new jobs. New Metal-Fabricating Company Expanding to Macon: Unified Legacy will invest $125 million on a new plant in Macon, Georgia, creating 500 new jobs. The new plant will be in South Bibb County. The company currently operates a smaller plant in Byron. Grand Opening of Pennsylvania Manufacturing Facility: Hranec, a manufacturer of ductwork and roofing products, opened a new 200,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in German Township, Pennsylvania. The expanded facility could create as many as 100 new jobs.
