AMT Emerging Technology Center Annex
See a novel CNC milling machine with a cast concrete base, manufactured with a 3D printed composite mold. Developed by Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) Manufacturing Demonstration Facility (MDF) and supported by America's Cutting Edge (ACE) through the Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment (IBAS) program, this machine tool is just one development in part of a national initiative for machine tool technology advancement and workforce development.

New to the North American market and IMTS, the AM4U Area, presented by Formnext, featured talks about adopting industrial AM into your production process, as well as entrepreneurship and business models.

On all six days of IMTS 2022, the IMTS+ Main Stage in the Grand Concourse presented speakers from across the industry – from world-class leaders, job shop managers, and government representatives – as well as live shows by MakingChips, Tom Kurfess of Georgia Tech and Lonnie Love of Oak Ridge National Research Laboratory from the IMTS+ show TLC, and Drew Crowe of The New American Manufacturing Renaissance, AMT Tech Trends, and more.

Miles for Manufacturing 5K
The M4M Run/Walk was an excellent opportunity to get in exercise at the show while benefiting a good cause! The recipient schools prepare young men and women for success in lifelong learning and work by providing them with customized learning programs in selected career pathways based on their interests, offering programs in CNC machining, CAD and welding, along with courses in automotive repair and computer design.
