As an early adopter of additive manufacturing technology, the medical industry has long benefited from 3D printed implants, surgical tools and models. Now, with the rise of 3D scanning and imaging software, AM is poised to enable wider adoption of patient-specific devices and even point-of-care manufacturing. This half-day workshop will examine successes with additive manufacturing for the development and scale production of both standard and custom medical products. The program is suitable for manufacturers already serving medical clients through 3D printing as well as those looking to break into this industry or other, similarly regulated spaces with the technology.
