The Smarter Sourcing Symposium at IMTS 2022

The inaugural Smarter Sourcing Symposium at IMTS 2022, presented by The Onshoring Project, delivered direct strategies for sounder and more financially beneficial North American part production. OEMs, Tier suppliers and contract manufacturers, alike, benefitted from first-hand demonstrations and panel discussions on new tools and proven techniques for leaner, more agile, more profitable domestic sourcing.
 


IMTS Women Make Manufacturing Move

The IMTS Women Make Manufacturing Move (WMMM) program celebrated the women driving the future of manufacturing. With curated sessions, meet-ups, programming, and receptions, professionals from around the globe engaged and connected in this dedicated program. Additive Manufacturing Conference

Additive Manufacturing Conference at IMTS 2022

As the first and only event focused exclusively on additive technologies for industrial part production, the conference took a practical, applications-based look at the machines, materials and methodologies being used to create end-use tools and components. The event was designed for owners, executives and engineers at contract manufacturers, as well as OEMs involved in durable goods manufacturing.
 


3D Printing Workshop for Job Shops

3D printing can complement CNC machining and help make machining operations, systems and workflow more effective. New to IMTS 2022, this concentrated half-day seminar, showcased how machining facilities are applying 3D printers for tooling and for runs of parts that do not make sense on traditional machining centers. The workshop was about machining – and using lower-cost 3D printing capability to make machine tools more efficient and focused on 3D printers at the price point of midrange machine tools on down to desktop machines, applied specifically in the context of machine shop work.

This conference, presented by the Laser Institute of America (LIA), focused on laser processing for manufacturing applications including laser applications from marking to cutting, to welding and heat treating, to remote welding, to cleaning and additive manufacturing, and more.

The Parts Cleaning Conference was the place for you to learn the latest cleaning technology. Over the past few years, cleaning has become more important than ever. Environmental limitations are becoming more strict and manufacturers demand high quality clean parts. The Parts Cleaning Conference detailed how to make it all happen, while staying within compliance and on budget.

The OPC UA Seminar was about industrial interoperability scaling from sensor to IT & Cloud and back. Attendees learned about the ONE harmonized solution OPC UA FX for process and factory automation and why MQTT-only is not enough and why the biggest 6 IT companies support OPC UA over MQTT.
 


ASME Tech Leadership Summit

The ASME Tech Leadership Summit provided the opportunity for a global community of change-driven, growth-minded leaders to network and collaborate. Focused on digital transformation, leaders exchanged views and information, allowing discussion of tomorrow's challenges as well as shared ideas on how to leverage current opportunities and solutions. Attendees heard from like-minded leaders discussing big data, digital twin, robotics, additive manufacturing and toured the show floor with an industry expert.
