The United States’ Northeast region has traditionally been a manufacturing hub. That tradition is continuing and expanding with the increased use of smart technologies and the move toward advanced manufacturing methods and machinery.

Given the continued growth of the manufacturing technology industry in the Northeast, IMTS visitors in this region should add EASTEC 2019 to their calendars. On May 14-16, 2019, in West Springfield, Mass., EASTEC will deliver new technologies, new suppliers, and new solutions.

Brought to you by AMT* and SME, EASTEC is where the Northeast’s long manufacturing tradition intersects with the future of the industry. For more than 35 years, EASTEC has been the premier event for manufacturers, suppliers, and solution providers in the region. With more than 13,000 attendees from industries including aerospace, automotive, medical, defense, and industrial/commercial machinery, EASTEC is the must-attend manufacturing show in the region.

Visitors will enjoy educational presentations, informative workshops, and fun networking events—as well as a show floor packed with the latest in manufacturing technology equipment and services. (View the event schedule here.) Manufacturers will find solutions in automation, smart manufacturing, additive manufacturing, waste reduction, and workforce development.

Featured speakers and highlights include:

Additionally, on May 15, SME's day-long Additive Manufacturing (AM) Seminar Series will focus on how major manufacturers and suppliers have transformed their operations by embracing AM with an emphasis on the materials used to produce production-ready parts.

Workshops, mixed reality experiences, educational presentations, “Lunch and Learns,” and networking receptions round out the event.
