This endeavor combines AMT's impact as the producer of IMTS – the largest manufacturing show in the Western Hemisphere with Mesago's rich history as the producer of the formidable European shows Formnext and SPS. Together they bring solutions that meet the expanding needs of the workforce, productivity, and business management issues faced by OEMs, job shops, and small and medium-sized businesses representative of the IMTS audience.

SPS – Smart Production Solutions Comes to the United States

Held annually in Nuremberg, Germany, the annual SPS – Smart Production Solutions show represents the complete spectrum of smart and digital automation, from intelligent solutions to discrete components. It shows what is feasible today and explores the vision of a comprehensively digitized industrial world. With 1,200 exhibitors and approximately 50,000 visitors, SPS represents the complete spectrum of smart and digital automation – from simple sensors to intelligent solutions.

AMT's Michelle Edmonson, vice president of exhibitions, sits with Sylke Schulz-Metzner, vice president of SPS – Smart Production Solutions, and Katerina Hodinova-Bauer, senior sales manager of SPS – Smart Production Solutions to talk about the SPS trade fair and bringing it to the U.S. in 2025.

IMTS 2024 presents the collaboration of AMT and Message Messe Frankfurt in the Automation Sector, accelerated by SPS – Smart Production Solutions. Located in the North Building of McCormick Place, the world-leading exhibitors and boundary-breaking digital solutions will propel growth in the manufacturing sector.

Beyond IMTS, the SPS Atlanta 2025 show will make its debut September 16-18 at the George World Congress Center. This expansion and the introduction of the stand-alone event will further accelerate and facilitate the exchange of ideas and innovation in the automation industry.
