This week we visited the site of our upcoming job for an amber precast. It is the job for which in the past few weeks I have helped calibrate load cells and machined spacer rings. We conducted the same test last February where we tested the ability of twist lock holes on a concrete container for intermediate level nuclear waste to be lifted by crane. The test will be conducted by forcing a cross beam upwards using jacks whilst it is secured into the twist lock holes, the load cells will measure the load whilst this is happening. Although the method is simple the test will be interesting just for its size alone.
