Students: Education and Careers Take Flight at the Smartforce Student Summit
For students looking to take the next step in their education, there will be representatives on hand from a number of technical, community, and four-year colleges. This is a great place to get an understanding of the education and training needed for an advanced manufacturing career.
New at this year’s summit is the Smartforce Career Launch Pad, a career fair that will allow students to connect with employers for apprenticeships, internships, and entry-level jobs. Students who are registered for the Smartforce Student Summit can register for the career fair by uploading their resume to MTCareers.org, an online matchmaking tool for jobs that will be posted during IMTS. Students can upload their resumes for free; there is a nominal fee for companies to post job listings.
Exhibitors: Hire the Next Generation at IMTS
Do you plan to hire an intern, apprentice, or a recent graduate looking to start their career? The Smartforce Career Launch Pad, part of the Smartforce Student Summit, is coming to IMTS 2016 with an aim at connecting manufacturing employers with recent and soon-to-be graduates.
The Smartforce Student Summit will attract the young talent, but we need companies like yours to bring the jobs. If your company is exhibiting at IMTS, you’re interested in hiring entry-level people and your HR team can staff an exhibit in the career fair during IMTS, we’d love to have you on board. There is no cost to exhibit in the Smartforce Career Launch Pad.
We are working with our tech school, community college and engineering school partners to attract students with an interest in manufacturing careers. Students who registered for the Smartforce Student Summit can also register for the career fair by uploading their resume to MTCareers.org which acts as an online matchmaking tool for jobs that will be posted during the career fair. There is a nominal fee for companies to post their entry-level jobs.
